Keelung Harbor the key to Northern Taiwan.
The name Keelung came from aboriginal language, in Chinese Keelung literally means chicken cage. Some people suggest, Keelung city is surrounded by hills like a cage, therefore got its name "chicken cage".
Locate in the middle point and has easy access to Taiwan's north coast, northeast coast and Taipei City make Keelung an idea stop for cruises.
Fancy to sample some local food? Keelung night market provides many different local cuisines. Dingbiencuo, Nutrient Sandwich, Crab Rice and a bundle of other choices.
Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen old street, and Taipei 101 are examples of popular nearby places to visit, you can easily access the places from Keelung by either public transport or hiring a taxi.
